Hance West joined Investure in January 2004.He serves as Co-Chief Investment Officer and manages fixed income investments. Prior to Investure, Hance was a Director for the University of Virginia Investment Management Company from 2000 to 2003. Hance was responsible for the fixed income portion of the University’s endowment fund and various operating accounts as well as having joint responsibility for the University’s hedge fund portfolio. He was previously employed as Executive Vice President of Portfolio Management at Dynex Capital where he was in charge of portfolio management and securitization activity. Prior to working at Dynex Capital, he served as Co-Head of Fixed Income for Mentor Investment Group, where he was responsible for all institutional accounts.

Hance currently serves on the Board of the Virginia Tech Foundation and the Investment Advisory Committee of the Virginia Retirement System.

Hance earned his BS in accounting from Virginia Tech and his MBA from Simon School of Business at the University of Rochester. He holds the Chartered Financial Analyst designation and is a member of the CFA Institute.
